As I grew up, I began envisioning myself in the financial world in the future. Athletes signing very large contracts and spending it recklessly sparked something inside of me that made me want to learn how to handle money and give advise to those who do not understand the importance of handling their money properly and saving. Being on a team my entire life gave me a slight advantage. Working with others and collaborating with teammates and co-workers has never been an issue for me. It especially helped me during my Business Perspectives project last year where I had to work with a group and come up with a product. During that project, I assisted my group with figuring out costs and how to price our products in order to receive a profit.As I said before, I was a member of the baseball team at Rowan. I feel that being a former student athlete really helped me focus on my time management skills and prepared me to stay organized and on track. This also taught me to be able to take constructive criticism more openly from not only managers, but my peers as well.
