During my Graduate scheme with Kingfisher IT, I undertook rotations in many areas of the company including, but not limited to:- Integration CoE - I worked on projects at both the discovery and delivery phases as an integration specialist. This role mainly involved running meetings, planning ways that different functionalities would interface going forward to the development phase of the project, and ensuring that all products were bug-free and fit for live roll-out once they entered the delivery phase.- Cyber Security - In my time with this team, I worked mostly with the Cyber Security analysts, whose job it is to assess security threats and look into ways of improving the overall security of the department, and I grew to learn the ways in which threats are assessed and dealt with- IT Architecture - I spent most of my time in Architecture shadowing Enterprise and Solutions architects, learning their processes and how they go about creating High-level Design documents. I also got to spend a lot of time in discovery workshops, where future technologies that should potentially be implemented in the future were discussed.On top of these roles and others not listed here, I also spent some time creating promotional videos for a 'Future IT' initiative that was being run by the business. This involved preparing questions for the leadership team, filming and interviewing them, and editing the footage.

During my internship I:- Created marketing materials for their software - Designed a software demo aimed at increasing the efficiency of chemists in the laboratory.- Worked closely with the software development team on the rollout of a new version of their product- Smoke-tested bug fixes, ensuring they had not caused unforeseen problems with the rest of the software sector
