My responsibilities as a sample technician can vary from day to day depending on the scope of work and the project I am assisting. Typically I am responsible for calibrating field instruments for the days activities, collecting materials, writing in the logbook, sample collection and preparing the vehicle for transportation of samples and crew. Occasionally I assist with data entry, quality assurance, transportation of samples to labs and general housekeeping.
