MY PASSION FOR TECHNOLOGYMy interest in computer engineering began with my love of technology. I've always been curious about how different devices work such as computers and smart phones. I've also always had a talent for navigating my way around a piece of tech. I took this talent to the next level by building my first computer at the age of fourteen. I grew up playing video games on a console so it amazed me that you could do the same on a computer. I researched parts, budgeted, and built the computer all on my own using self-taught knowledge. Since then, I've built six computers including four others for friends of mine. If you can't tell already, I love building computers!WHY I CAME TO THE UNIVERSITY OF CINCINNATIAfter building my first computer I realized that I wanted to turn my passion into a career. I'm extremely excited to learn more about the functionality of computer hardware in a complete computer system. Since my start at UC, I've learned five different programming languages which include Python, C++, LabVIEW, MATLAB, and VBA. I even learned how to program a robot! MY WORKING ATTITUDEGrowing up on a farm has taught me a lot about the value of hard work done the right way. I was raised on the value that if I want something, I have to work hard for it. I carry that value with me in everything I do. I was taught to do work in the most professional manner possible with no BS involved.
