CurrentSchedules and runs the school tour program of Gunston Hall, including developing content, contacting schools, and training and coordinating docents.Works in a team to create and market programming for special events throughout the calendar year targeting a variety of audiences, including serving as lead facilitator for an all-day Writers' Workshop for fourth and fifth grade students.During the Covid-19 Crisis, develops content for Gunston Hall's Learning From Home initiative, including writing activities, finding connections to educational standards such as C3 and the Virginia Standards of Learning, and facilitating live experiences over social media.Runs the George Mason Essay Contest by developing rules, writing and distributing marketing material, assembling a volunteer judging panel, and contacting entrants with results.Performs multiple tasks connected with Gunston Hall's Families in Focus project, an IMLS-funded initiative to develop an interpretation plan for Gunston Hall's historic mansion, reconstructed outbuildings, and garden by emphasizing opportunities for family learning. Activities include:- Serving as a member of the staff team working on the Families in Focus Project- Researching contemporary probates and synthesizing data to come to conclusions about furnishing for Gunston Hall's outbuildings
