Technology has always been a huge part of my life. Durning high school, I found myself as a cashier at a local supermarket and became fascinated with the technicians that would come in to fix the machines. After picking up a few tricks I soon became well versed in the UI; able to fix many technical issues my co-workers might have.Once I graduated my senior year, I moved into a summer camp councillor job with Vera Perlin where I worked hands on with elderly people with various learning disabilities. At the same time, I volunteered at the Janeway with Dr. Aruna: she led a social group for middle schoolers with ADHD and Autism. My position there was as a peer counselor, as she thought it would help reassure their fears of going INTO high school if they met an Autistic boy who just graduated. These positions helped me develop a strong teamwork skill. Once again I was looked upon to fix/manage all the technical equipment just like at the supermarket.It took me a while to find my passion for technology but when I look back, it seem like it was right under my nose this entire time.
