Profile bio

About Dylan Morris

My name is Dylan Morris I was previously employed as a Medical assistant/Clinical Aide at Codac Behavioral Healthcare in downtown Providence doing Urinalysis and specimen collection there. I have been with Codac for a little over 2 years. I left in pursuit of a better job, but when it came down to it things at the new job fell through. I am currently attending New England Emergency Medical Training in East Providence to get my Phlebotomy certificate. I graduated Lincoln Technical Institution in 2014 for Medical Assistant. I am currently working on obtaining my RMA (registered Medical Assistant) due to obtaining a job right out of school. The medical field had not sparked my interest right out of high school, when I graduated high school my dream was to work with people with Special Needs in a school setting. As I continued to look through job opportunities and school requirements I found myself falling further and further away from that field. It took me about 2 years to finally figure out what I wanted to do i my life, I wanted to help people and when I heard about the opportunities that lied ahead in the medical field I was all for it. I came across Lincoln Tech through a radio station and immediately did my research. I found the Medical Assistant program best met my needs and admirations I immediately applied After about a year in school, originally 9 months but due to a family passing of a close family member during school, I finished the program. After my externship I found myself without work for about 6 months. When the school called with an opportunity for a job interview with Codac. A week after the interview I received a call from the hiring manager for Codac who left me a voicemail extending her hand for a job opportunity with Codac. With great joy I accepted the job. So now 2 years later I find myself in a position to find a new job that has room to grow and see where it takes me.
