I work at Mindworks, which is a research lab within UChicago Booth's Roman Family Center for Decision Research.- Managing the experimental process for over 62 behavioral science studies, including topics on robots, AI, and ChatGPT.- Coordinating with researchers, piloting experiments, redesigning experiments when required, and training RAs for data collection.- Lead in hiring, training, scheduling, and coaching for ~30 RAs; Initiated 9 RA promotions to the role of research specialist.- Developing and implementing cross-labs policies and resources (e.g., a transparent outline of official expectations) for our staff.- Creating projects and opportunities for our RAs (e.g., co-managing studies, data analysis, managing donations, public outreach).

- Conducted in-person research across 47 experiments with ~50-150+ daily visitors and participants.- Educated visitors on concepts related to behavioral science and psychological research.- Improved research methods and organizational efficiency across multiple roles.- Managed the inception of Mindworks’ LinkedIn page; gained ~2,500 organic impressions and 238 followers over 6 months.- Guided, supported, and provided professional development to RAs through our RA mentorship program.

- Project: “Children’s Normative Evaluations of Pro- and Anti-Autonomy Decisions.”- Conducted two novel studies on 308 children and 285 adults’ normative evaluations toward paternalism.- Design, administer, and manage Qualtrics surveys; Analyze results via a linear mixed effects model through R Studio.- Recommend feedback for ongoing research projects’ hypotheses, designs, and materials.- Mentor undergraduate RAs on topics including moral theory, professional development, and best practices in research.

- Assisted 40+ patrons per day through technical support and customer service.- Guided patrons on how to utilize technology, research, and campus services.

- Outlined extensive comments, critiques, and corrections for the writing of ~90 students’ (in total, across three semesters).- Guided the students’ developing writing skills, with a focus on organization, grammar, flow, and engagement.- Advised students on their professional development via their writing assignments.

- Project: “The Relationship between Math Anxiety and Numerical Representations in Word Problems.”- Conducted novel honors thesis research project mathematics anxiety and perceptions of math problems across 236 participants.- Guided ~12 participants (per month) through questionnaires and experimental procedures for the lab’s research projects.- Coded multidimensional scaling and ordinal regression models in R Studio to analyze results.- Managed scheduling and technical issues for the participants.

I participated in the Summer Program in Neuroscience (SPIN) REU at the University of Alabama at Birmingham.- Project: “The Relationships between Generalized Anxiety Symptoms and Objective and Subjective Executive Function.”- Recruited and scheduled dozens of potential participants (per week) across three separate research projects.- Directed ~20 participants/wk. through questionnaires, physical assessments, and cognitive testing across active experiments.- Recorded, filed, scored, and analyzed 29 adolescent participants’ demographics, questionnaire responses, and results.- Developed a comprehensive research poster and presentation on anxiety and executive function.

- Cared for, handled, and managed ~10 rats in a lab environment.- Assisted in surgeries and cleaned surgery equipment.- Observed and coded data during experimentation.
