I have been working as a freelancer in the film industry for several years now. One of my favorite things about freelancing is that each job is different and offers new challenges. I have worked on reality TV shows, documentaries, branded content shoots, commercials, short films and so much more. Every shoot you meet and learn from new and interesting people. I was able to be a part of some amazing film productions this past year. I got the opportunity to film with some talented athletes like Todd Gurley and Andrew Whitworth. I was the DP on a branded content shoot where Todd and Andrew were promoting Corona and reminiscing about the good old days. I was also able to work with some basketball players as well. I worked as an AC for a three-day shoot where we filmed all the new Wizard player intros that go on the Jumbotron. Another memorable job for me last year was during the month of July when a partner and I traveled along the West Coast shooting promotional videos for summer camps. It was a lot of work running around in the summer heat trying to capture all of the fun activities, but we both had a blast doing it.Every year I strive to gain new skills, learn more gear, and work on new and interesting jobs. I am proud to say that I earned my drone pilot's license over the summer. After taking a two-week prep course I was able to pass the test and add a new skill to my filmmaking repertoire. I also got to work with some amazing cameras last year like the Alexa 35 and the Red Raptor. All in all, last year was full of some amazing opportunities and I am excited to see what 2023 holds for me.
