On the day to day, I have predominately been working within the Continuous Improvement team to aid the review and enhancement of Mirvac’s retail leasing procedure. We aimed to streamline the end-to-end process and to create efficiencies through the design and implementation of approval frameworks for retail leases to ensure accountabilities, delegations and approvals across different teams are understood by all parties involved. A personal aim of mine coming into this project was to engage with as many colleagues from numerous sectors of the business to extend my scope of understanding within an integrated real estate company. The use of Microsoft Visio’s software has been crucial in communicating the workflow adaptations to the effected teams throughout the business. Thanks to Tessa Sloane for helping me throughout this process and for aiding my development daily.My Mirvac experience has been more than just my role working as a Business Solutions Intern. In order to diversify my industry experience, I spent half my working hours with the Digital Marketing team, under the guidance of Nicole Olsson. The main project I was tasked with was to aid the improvement of the Mirvac Retail’s SEO (Search Engine Optimisation) to improve our visibility within Google. The use of the Sitecore system enabled me to help redesign our retail web pages and clean the website contents to increase our competitiveness within the search engine results pages. Further to this, I was able to use Salesforce & the Digital Marketing email to monitor and manage contacts and opportunities for the national marketing campaigns that were set to be implemented in the near future.

At Leiths I built up my experience in multiple sectors of work, including sales, customer interaction, Bar staff and manual labour. The main transferable skill I developed was the patience and ability to understand the customer's needs, and to fulfil these requests in order to maintain the customer satisfaction that was expected of all staff working at Leiths.
