I have completed the Electrical Engineer Technician program at Durham College, as well as spent a few years working in the electrical trade between building strapping machines for EAM Mosca as well as a tenure as an Electrical Apprentice. Late 2019 I was lucky enough to be given the opportunity to join a startup company called Genecis Bioindustries as an Electrical Plant Operator where I learned about the world of renewably sourced PHA plastics via food waste. In awe of the potential ecological impact of the science, I was inspired and motivated to see Genecis grow. Since then, I have been able to work closely with some amazing people who helped provide me the skills and knowledge required to become a successful Bio-Tech startup. As of early 2022, as the Operations Manager I lead a team of operators who are dedicated in advancing the science of transforming food waste, which has grown to a global scale issue in many ways, to high-value materials.
