Engineer-In-Training responsible for the coordination and completion of site visits to over 139 various wetland and reservoir sites designed and installed by Ducks Unlimited Canada to improve local habitat and mitigate flood risks. Tasks included landowner permission approvals, hydraulic analysis of site and downstream drainage area, physical condition inspection of various water control structures, erosion/bank scouring assessment and report writing.Engineer-In-Training responsible for the onsite supervision of construction contractors. Siteworkinvolved the safe direction of contractors and their heavy equipment during the rebuild/reconstruction of aging Ducks Unlimited Canada infrastructure which had reached the end of its working lifespan. Theseprojects and the type of water control structures used vary greatly depending on existing site features,wetland size, and watershed area.

Cambridge, Ontario, Canada

o Supported the accelerated growth of a new facility while focusing on energy independence, soil and water conservation, and permaculture practices.o Responsible for the technical direction and supervision of multiple subordinate staff members, including rotating co-op students.o Led the retrofit design and construction for multiple buildings to enhance energy conservation (i.e. adaptive lighting, heat insulation and hydronic in-floor heating),maximizing the building’s energy efficiency.o Supported health and safety initiatives and training.
