I am currently employed as Head of Production at HelderbergFM 93.6I am responsible for all production and technical operations of the station. This includes producing station imaging, advertisements, record and mixing on-air content, music compiling and playlisting, compiling weekly music charts(HFM TOP 30 & SA TOP 10), outside broadcasts, maintaining broadcast studios and ensuring that we are live at all times. I started my radio career in 2019 when I was in my second year of studies. I did an internship at HelderbergFM for two months. In these two months, I learnt all about the radio environment. This included studio operations, playlisting, ad scheduling, outside broadcasts as well as general technical operations of the station. During these two months, my main responsibility was technical producing the lunchtime 12h00-15h00 daytime show.I was employed as Technical and Production Assistant after I completed my internship. My responsibilities were somewhat similar to now. However, I was an assistant. I worked in this position while I completed my studies. Once I had graduated, I continued this position on a more full-time basis. I started working as Head of Production in September of 2021.
