I'm now more of a maintenance person than a sales associate. I find myself doing a lot more carpentry jobs and fixing & renovating old areas of the store. I do love this as it's in a place that I know very well and I'm a valuable worker because while I can support the team if the store busy I can also be building or fixing something when it isn't.

As a general labourer, I often would open the sites up for the workers coming later on in the day, this involved setting up air compressor & hoses, being trusted with door codes to open up all of the house doors. Basic house keeping to ensure a safe and clean job site. I would also get a lot of demolition and small wall framing opportunities. I learnt a lot in the few months I was there and am excited to go back!
