I have always been the DIY type. For as long as I remember, even as a stubborn child, I have wanted to figure out things myself. My name Is Dylan. I was born and raised in the south(Alabama). I have lived in the area for most of my life, with the exception of being in the military, and spending some time in Germany. I have an awesome wife, and some pretty sweet kids as well. They all keep me running a lot with sports and other adventures whenever I am off from my normal job. Aside from woodworking, some of my other hobbies include, cinematography, golf, and video games.I guess you could say my start in woodworking, on the more serious side, is what Im going to call “The Pallet Craze”. You know what time I am talking about for sure. You couldn’t get on any social media app or website and not see something along the lines of “Up-cycled Pallet Table” or “DIY Pallet Serving Tray”. I fell into it and I loved it. I think what is was mostly for me was the ability to take “trash” or something ruined, and make it beautiful again. Something broken, and worn, and give it new life. I'm like that with people as well. I just like to fix broken things. Anyway, that's when I started really getting serious with it. My Dad ran his own contracting business building houses and other carpenter projects. When I would visit him for the summer, he would always bring me to his shop, and we would try to make some things together. Maybe that is where the hobby began, who knows. So ever since then, I have been into woodworking, and creating projects.As my itch for woodworking continued to grow, I would watch videos, and tutorials online. Getting Ideas of how to setup my shop, and little projects I would try to build. Thats when I decided I wanted to make videos as well. When I was younger I would edit, and make videos of me playing games, and things like that, so I was kind of familiar with the idea already. I love the editing process. Having a beginning, middle, end, and trying to tell the story as best I can tell the story along the way. You will notice most of my videos are not just point and shoot, and talking head videos. I like to make the “story” a little more interesting with video. It’s pretty funny really, because I could probably get most of the stuff I worked on done in half of the time if I just did the work, and wasn’t as much worried about “getting the shot”. Thats what makes it fun for me though. So, I started my Youtube Channel as a way to share some of the things I make and create, with hopes I could help someone else.Take it Easy,Dylan(Dray)
