I am currently a PhD student at Grenfell Campus, expected to graduate in May 2027. My research will be focused on flood modelling and risk assessment at the Canadian scale as well as ecosystem services and transdisciplinary sustainability.I have a master of mathematics (MMATH) in applied math from the University of Waterloo and a bachelor of science in computational mathematics and physics (double major) from Grenfell Campus, Memorial University of Newfoundland. My master's research was focused on modelling subglacial hydrology and ice dynamics using the Glacier Drainage Systems Model (GlaDS) and inversion techniques within the Ice-Sheet and Sea-Level System Model (ISSM), respectively, in a key sector of Eastern Antarctica - the Bailey Ice Stream and Slessor Glacier system. I developed a novel approach of using ice dynamics model outputs to validate subglacial hydrology model outputs. This is particularly useful where validation data is sparse/non-existent. Outside of academia I teach guitar and musical theory at Gary Bennett Music in Corner Brook - a Yamaha School of Music, and hold the rank of fourth dan in Taekwondo. I am proudly indigenous and own the cutest little shorkie in the world, Frank.
