I supported the Energy manager in the delivery of an effective and efficient energy management service across the Council’s Estate. My duties during this experience included:• Manging the introduction of pilot projects to help the council save money on energy. • Analysing and interpreting energy and water bills/usage using excel spreadsheets and electronic meter readings to help the council maintain energy savings.• Assessing the council’s carbon emissions to produce a carbon budget for the council’s carbon management plan. • Development and management of energy monitoring and management techniques to produce regular key performance information reports to council stakeholders.

I completed a 4 month placement as a Junior Manufacturing Engineer at Terex Finlay. As part of a project with Terex and South West Regional College, I was involved in helping to create and improve standard work files (build manuals) for some of the quarry machinery on the factory floor (i.e. I-100 Impact Crusher). The build manuals included photos, information on the part used (part numbers), 3D CAD drawings and instructions. These were then used to help guide the workers with clear instructions and photos on how to build the quarry machinery.
