Initially joined Confoil to manage and run their sustainability projects and reporting. KPI objectives identified from scope 1, 2 and 3 emissions data.- Directed efforts to achieve compliance with latest government guidance, including:*Established Modern Slavery assessment process and due diligence auditing of supply chain.*Hazardous chemicals in food packaging. This included finding replacements for PFAS contaminated products where I created new organisational policies, sourced replacement materials and managed testing to ensure compliance.*Designed and implemented new policy and processes to meet prescribed waste storage and collection in line with established regulation.

Successfully managed a busy operational contract at one of the largest hospitals in London. Based onsite at King’s College Hospital I worked closely with the client and subcontractors to deliver shared commercial and environmental objectives. Data led and with a focus on transparency provided a path to continuous improvement and innovation opportunities in the hospital’s waste strategy development and implementation. Key achievements:• Developed and led a reduce, reuse and recycling project engaging with multiple stakeholders to improve resource use across the hospital. New initiatives and processes, signage, education and engagement on waste management resulted in a 7% increase in the recycling rate and an overall reduction in waste produced within 18 months.• Strong relationship management ensured a flexible and agile daily waste operation that met the client’s needs including during challenging situations throughout the pandemic. • Successfully handled the waste management contracts for Royal Surrey County Hospital and Darent Valley Hospital, including the initial mobilisation projects for each site.
