Current Graduate Student, future CPA. My pursuit in the fields of business and accounting led me to the School of Business at George University, where I earned my BS in Business with a Concentration in Accounting and an working on my MS in Accounting. This semester, I am finishing up my concentration in accounting requirements, including audit and assurance requirement, along with taking a few of my graduate courses; I expect to achieve my 150 credit requirement for the CPA in December 2025. The most valuable lesson I have learned from GMU has been the importance of time management and organization. My passion is to become an expert in learning the language of business and honing the ability to use those skills freely, so I go into every day looking for something new in the field to learn. Additionally, my classes in Business Analytics have provided me with opportunity to develop my abilities in Microsoft Excel. This year I have learned about corporate tax returns, contributions, distributions, redemptions, and liquidations as well as formations and distributions for partnerships and S-corporations. Furthermore, I am currently looking for professional opportunities that will allow me to grow and develop my accounting-specific skill-set. Over the next year, I hope to be able to grow my abilities and learn from well-rounded, knowledgeable accountants.
