-Responsible for ensuring the Quality of our products on a daily basis for all 21 injection molding machines.-Manage a team of 9 quality technicians who perform dimensional, weight, and other specification tests to ensure our products are top notch. There are at least 2 technicians working on each shift, 24/7.-Responsible for being a resource to Sales Representatives; this includes traveling with them to customer locations to gain better knowledge of our products in the field, or to handle customer complaints. -Be a communication bridge between production, engineering, processing, and sales teams. Everyone plays a part in the quality of our product, so it is important to have everyone on the same page to achieve pristine quality.

-Assure the quality of our products on an hourly basis through dimension measurements, color coat, and weight. Using Excel and multiple visual controls throughout the plant, the product specifications are maintained.-Communicate. This may seem cliché and common, however it cannot be overlooked. On a daily basis, I communicate with customers, vendors, floor staff, plant managers, and outside sources. With Rehrig operating 24/7, it is necessary to have several meetings throughout the day to inform different shift leads of current problems, wins, issues, or concerns. Whether it is a coffee shortage, or a machine break down, everyone's problems are addressed.-The unique water system behind the injection molding machines has a high upkeep, including fluid dynamic analysis, as well as thermodynamic analysis. Anything from Bernoulli's equation to heat transfer calculations are relevant.-Recruiting and Growing: I had the opportunity to manage one intern over Summer of 2015 with whom I assigned creative, innovative and fun projects to help him gain knowledge of general plastics manufacturing and company culture.-Assisting shipping and purchasing supervisors with orders and shipments of HDPE 8 melt regrind, 5 melt regrind, virgin, and other plastic materials. All ran through a kanban system.-Silo Project: With Orlando being one of the most growing plants in the company, the installation of two outdoor silos capable of holding 200,000 pounds of plastic material was passed on to me. With this project already taking place upon my arrival to Rehrig, I mainly took control of the Microsoft Project master file, as well as the review of CAD drawings, purchase orders, quotes, and email threads.

As one of the two manufacturing interns at the facility, our responsibilities included: -Analysis of component bonding defects on circuit cards-Kaizen project; shadowed a project involving the transformation of the F18 work cell to a Kanban-Styled system-Safe Route Smartphone Application: Group of interns assigned to a project of setting up a "game-plan" to create a smart phone GPS application to help users navigate through safer areas of unknown cities.
