Marketing And Communications Coordinator
Worked as a Coordinator in the Marketing/Communications Department at the Tarrant Area Food Bank, where I accomplished the following:- Social Media: Managed all of TAFB’s social media platforms, including: Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, LinkedIn, YouTube and Nextdoor. Was responsible for writing and overseeing all social media content, and replying to messages and comments. Oversaw exponential growth from Facebook, Instagram and Twitter pages during the COVID-19 pandemic. - Public Relations: Was relied upon heavily for local PR efforts, which included: Managing the organization’s PR email database and Critical Mention platform, cultivating media relationships from both large and small scale outlets in the DFW market, crafting and pitching stories to media members, taking the lead on writing press materials (such as releases and advisories). - Photography: Learned photography in order to serve my own social media photography needs. Went from having zero photography experience to becoming self-sufficient in taking and editing photos in less than a year’s time.- Zoom: Was assigned to become the company’s Zoom subject matter expert during the COVID-19 pandemic. Created training materials for the organization, gave presentations on the platform’s best practices, and served as support staff when other employees needed assistance. - Employee Committees: Served as part of the Ambassadors (formerly known as Toastmasters) program during my entire tenure, and the E3 (Employee Engagement Experience) Committee from September 2019 to October 2020, as the Ambassadors and E3 committees merged. Was selected to be part of the Safety Committee in January 2021, where I served until my departure. - All-Staff Communications: Was responsible for creating company-wide newsletters, sourcing pertinent updates from multiple departments. Revamped the look of the newsletter by switching from Microsoft Word to Constant Contact, after taking the responsibility from HR.
