At the Keck Isotope Lab, I worked with radiogenic isotopes to date geologic processes. I independently developed experiments and SOPs to improve and refine the radiometric dating technique used in our lab. Incoming graduate and undergraduate students were also trained and brought up to speed by me. Finally, I was able to live out my childhood desire of being a "mad scientist" as I used acids ranging from acetic to hydrofluoric and played with expensive instruments, all in the name of science.
