Dylan ToddI am 40 years old and I have worked for Earls for twenty five years. I started out as a dishwasher at the age of 15 and I have worked my way up through every position in the restaurant. I studied English Literature at university and when I got done my degree I figured that most people go to school to get a good job with a great company and I realized I already had that, so I stayed on with Earls. At the age of 23 I was rewarded with the opportunity to become the General Manager of Richmond location at Lansdowne Mall. In three years at that store, we increased sales from $2.5 million to $3.8 million and we doubled the profits from $200,000 to $400,000. In early 2008, I was promoted to Earls Ontario to aid in the company’s expansion in Eastern Canada. There I have learned a tremendous amount about the opening process, from construction to initial set-up to opening night. In 2009 I was sent to Calgary to support manager development and profit. From the results there I was promoted to GM of the 2nd largest location in the company in Downtown Calgary. Over three years I increased revenue by 1 million dollars, got bottom profits above 1 million dollars and produced 2 GMs and 2 head chefs for other locations within the company. In 2015 I was awarded the GM position of opening a flagship store in Tysons Corner, Virginia. Tysons is the fastest growing city in the United States and is 20-30min outside of DC. Here we created an amazing culture of sales, service and leadership. The store opened and quickly rose to the top sales grossing store in the company in the USA for 2016 by over a million dollars. In 2017 I made the move to Boston and opened our largest property of all time, Prudential Center in downtown Boston's historic Back Bay neighborhood. In 2018, our first year of operations we eclipsed 13.8 million in annual sales which was 500k above the previous record for any Earls location of all time.
