Responsible for the strategic development, program management, and stakeholder engagement of multiple projects in partnership with Red Duke Strategies and the Department of Veterans Affairs, the largest integrated health system in the U.S.

I created Bastion Community of Resilience, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization established in 2010 and made possible with funding from the Bob Woodruff Foundation and Wounded Warrior Project. We provide supported living and community-based reintegration services for veterans and families within our intentionally designed neighborhood located in New Orleans. Our community model integrates neighbors into the care team for warriors who need peer support and instrumental assistance in the activities of daily living. At Bastion, warriors with traumatic brain injuries and other life-altering wounds receive the best housing, therapeutic care, and community-based supports.
