•Create weekly individualized lesson plans for twelve 7th and 8th graders in graders at Stagg Elementary School. Designed based on progress monitored need areas in ELA and SEL (social, emotional learning) skills. •Carefully monitor student growth in collaboration with partner teacher and school faculty to determine best practices for each student. •Collaborated with partner teacher and school faculty and administration on events and initiatives to benefit students and school community.•Mentor students and help them work through obstacles both inside and outside of the classroom.

As a teachers assistant at Oak Park River Forest High School, I worked extensively with students transitioning from grammar school to high school with a hands-on, lead by example approach. I edited papers and taught annotation techniques, as well as guided students struggling with family or personal problems. Helped develop writing techniques, organization skills, and literary analysis. Shared knowledge with incoming OPRF students on the academic and social aspects of high school, in order to lead them to a productive and rewarding high school experience.

Over the summer, I created a fitness program based on "clean nutrition" and short workouts based on high intensity conditioning and weight lifting for incoming freshman. This included aspiring student-athletes as well as students looking to simply improve their health. I developed nutrition plans for each student and built a community atmosphere, teaching young women and men the values of discipline, perseverance, and unity. As the Vice President of the Big Red Fitness club, I am first and foremost responsible to be an example of a healthy and vibrant lifestyle. Along with leading by example, I am involved in planning events for our club, mentoring members (especially first-years), and creating individual nutrition plans for our athletes.

As a receptionist for the annual fund at Denison University, I was in charge of multiple tasks. I was responsible for welcoming Denison alumni as they entered our office, and directing them to their destination or kindly answering any questions they had. I was also in charge of cleaning and decorating the office and having a contagious positive attitude. I was responsible for clearing storage, getting coworkers coffee or food, and being available to serve Denison alumni and fellow workers whenever they sought out help.

Learned from Certified level 1 Crossfit coaches through daily oberservance, motivated athletes, and collaborated with clients regarding nutrition and fitness.

The summer after graduating eighth grade, I began writing sports articles for the highly acclaimed Wednesday Journal, my town's local newspaper. In 2013, the Wednesday Journal was awarded the Will Loomis Memorial Trophy, awarded by the Illinois Press Association to the top newspaper in the state. At the Wednesday Journal, I worked with an outstanding staff and a premier editor.
