I was involved in bespoke furniture manufacture for over 20 years, qualifying as a time-served Cabinetmaker in 1994 from the Glasgow College of Building & Printing. I went on to produce bespoke commissions for private homes, working on behalf of some very good furniture makers in and around Glasgow. I had an interest in learning more about the design elements that surrounded my woodworking role, and benefited enormously from spending time with talented professionals who made a concept come to life using various materials. I then advanced onto a career within commercial manufacturing Joinery, overseeing procurement, production, quality assurance, and after-sales provision, having undertaken installations across a wide variety of market sectors, such as; retail, health, education, hotel & leisure, and several commercial refurbishments.As the owner of Inspired Carpentry, I am fortunate to have worked alongside skilled technical tradespeople over the years, helping guide projects from their initial planning, to manufacture and completion. Collectively, our team is focused on working hard to offer our best standards of customised design & build within our joinery production and contract spray finishing.
