During my first rotation in the financial division, I completed month end checks for all the accounts, verified the financial status of key institutions wanting to work with Eirgrid and made sure that invoices were paid before their invoice date.During my Capacity Market rotation, I helped implement a new algorithm for the capacity market. This involved cross checking it with an external verifier, completing post auction data analysis and testing the algorithm platform.Finally I completed my final rotation in the Data & Policy Oversight team where I designed the Sharepoint website for internal use, designed forms for data quality issues and coded the software for Capacity market tracking, following on from work in my previous team.

Childine is a non judgemental and non directive listening service for children under the age of 18. This post involved partaking in an intensive eight-week training course in advanced active listening and exploration skills which resulted in a certificate in non-formal guidance. In my calls I employ a non-judgemental, non-problem focused approach with a goal of supporting and empowering children. This post has allowed me to understand the importance of person-centred approaches while maintaining professional boundaries. This opportunity has provided me with exposure to a range of psychological conditions and has given me an indepth knowledge of the emotional and social needs of children.

I am currently employed by the Maths Support Centre in University College Dublin, where I support undergraduate students in many of their modules.• I tutor a range of mathematical topics including group theory, calculus, probability theory, linear algebra and operations research.• I also have to communicate with each students to ascertain their academic ability and give them an honest assessment on how much work they need to do over the coming semester.

I am presently employed by as a freelance maths tutor by Home Tutors, which is a company which hires tutoring experts in various secondary school subjects, to teach children of varying mathematical ability. The company employs me to provide assistance with both the Junior and Leaving Certificate courses.• In my role as a math tutor, I meet with a variety of customers, including children with learning disabilities. I engage with them in a direct format to assess their needs and develop a course of work that suits them.• This course includes drawing up lesson plans, devising homework schedules and having regular meetings to discuss their needs, based upon their capabilities.• This role also included communicating with parents, giving them overview of the child progress and how to best help their child learn, develop and improve critical thought.
