Worked as an intern on the Recon+ Intelligence team. Automated intelligence gathering, analysis and reporting processes for the Recon+ team using Python. Studied data scraping and analysis techniques under the full time analysts.

Worked as a second year intern studying advanced Incident Response techniques. Performed advanced digital forensics trainings on complex Windows, Linux, and Mac hosts in addition to network forensic practice. Also studied CrowdStrike intelligence techniques and threat actor behaviors.Completed an individual project automating Google Sheets to make digital forensic timeline creation more streamlined and automagically detecting host and network IOCs in raw event data. Led the development of the CyberSkyline hiring challenge used to hire new interns, consisting of Digital Forensics, Red Team, and Strategic Analysis components.

I was selected as one of 48 students from the University of Texas System to live and work in the Washington D.C. metro area while studying policy, American history, and complex social issues. I worked a full time internship in the city and took night/weekend classes such as The Politics of National Memory, The Policy Making Process, and Advocacy.

I worked as a part-time analyst in cyber operations, performing monitoring and intrusion detection tasks. I responded to tier 1 and tier 2 alerts with the cyber ops team utilizing industry tools such as Microsoft 365 Defender, ExtraHop, Carbon Black, and Cuckoo. I also architected a vulnerability remediation program to help remediate vulnerabilities throughout the UTSA network. Additionally, I assisted in training and teaching new interns during both the Fall and Spring semesters.

Worked as an intern on the Incident Response team shadowing real engagements and using industry leading tools such as Splunk, X-Ways Forensics, Plaso, and Axiom. Trained on network and host-based forensics (Windows, Linux). Led a simulated capstone engagement that included collection, forensic analysis, customer status calls, and a final report. Worked on an individual research project automating functions in X-Ways Forensics using C++.
