Became part time manager after a while and it helped develop some managerial skills as well as some basic inventory and customer service skills.I was a telemarketer for about 10 minutes. Learned that people really don't like telemarketers. Actually helped shape some of my sales techniques that actually work and have NOTHING to do with tired sales pitches and hard closes. Was a customer service rep for a bank. Hated the job because it was really just a vent for customers that got $300 of overdraft fees due to the way the bank processed transactions. Learned a lot about how banks work and it has helped when I get a hold placed on a large check, or set up a new account.Finally I was a coffee barista at a convenience store for a while. Didn't really learn much at this one but I got to talk to a bunch of strange people every day, the type that buys mocha lattes at a gas station.
