During my time at Steel FM, I learnt vast knowledge about working in the Media industry. I worked under the guidance of the Operations Director and main Radio Presenter, Marco Bolli.Under him, I learned how to edit audio recordings and how to upload them to the streaming services they used. He also introduced me to his social media accounts, where I was given full reign to post updates and promote content via social media such as Instagram and Facebook.Some of the regular tasks I was asked to undertake were, to edit the interviews up to a standard where they could be posted onto the streaming platform. Select the correct adverts which are then supposed to be played on the station each day. Complete the invoices at the end of every month and file them so they’re saved.

Throughout my time on work experience at Messingham Horse and Foal Show LTD, I had take on full responsibility of creating all the advertisements used for the show. I worked closely with two of the directors, asking them what they would like to be included in the advertisements. Once I was given my brief, I was then given full control of how I wanted to present my ideas. I decided upon creating a wide range of different posters with each one bespoke to their needs, including the information asked for in the brief. I then went back with my ideas and they liked them, and my posters were used on all their social media pages and the posters were also put up around Messingham and surrounding areas to advertise the show to the local community. This experience used a range of skills which have all helped my development and improved my knowledge in advertisements and marketing. After completing my work experience with the company, I then received a reference letter from the main Director, where he offered to be a reference for any job interview or University application I make in the future.
