    Boeing Mar 2019 - Present
    Arlington, Va, Us
Authored and reviewed test plans and test reports evaluating new test capabilities and customer productsDeveloped long-term strategies and requirements for data system hardware and software.Led multi-disciplined teams to perform noise certification tests.
  • Aerotec - Aerospace Testing Engineering & Certification Inc.
    Instrumentation Engineer
Aerotec - Aerospace Testing Engineering & Certification Inc. Dec 2015 - Mar 2019
    Seattle, Wa, Us
Assembled and implemented network-based data acquisition system with L-band telemetry for supplemental type certification flight test program.Performed lab test to characterize interference between L-band TM antenna and GPS antenna using various filters selected to improve system reliability.Authored and reviewed processes to conform to AS9100 quality management standard.
  • University Of Florida
    Graduate Research Assistant
University Of Florida Aug 2008 - Aug 2015
    Gainesville, Florida, Us
Developed a silicon-based piezoresistive microelectromechanical systems (MEMS) microphone and packaging for aeroacoustic phased array measurements: Created a design optimization scheme to meet sensor performance targets. Incorporated manufacturing uncertainties into a reliability-based design optimization to increase yield of qualified devices in future builds. Performed risk analysis and incorporated mitigation strategies into device fabrication at external foundry and for internal processes. Designed and fabricated a sensor package that reduced surface roughness by over 50%. Executed electrical and mechanical experiments to characterize the electrical and acoustic performance of the sensor compared to lumped element model predictions.Initiated a piezoelectric microphone project by locating and coordinating with vendors for substrates and piezoelectric film stack, optimizing sensor design using vendor-provided manufacturing capabilities and designing a manufacturing process to fabricate the microphone to help transition project to a new graduate student.Expanded laboratory microphone characterization capabilities by designing and building a semianechoic test facility capable of acoustic frequency response function characterization up to 100 kHz, and an acoustic coupler capable of 166 dBSPL acoustic excitation with less than 1% total harmonic distortion.Managed project timelines and goals for a variety of sensor development and characterization projects with periodic status updates for technical and nontechnical advisers.Mentored undergraduate researchers assisting with component assembly and data acquisition.Designed, fabricated and characterized an improved power circuit for a fully-active Wheatstone Bridge sensor with a 90% reduction in board area.
  • University Of Florida
    Teaching Assistant, Aerodynamics
University Of Florida Jan 2009 - Apr 2009
    Gainesville, Florida, Us
Instructed 1-hour bi-weekly recitation sessions attended by 40-60 students.Worked problems, answered questions, explained theory, and provided background information for current class topics at weekly one-on-one office hour sessions.
  • University Of Florida
Undergraduate Research Assistant, Interdisciplinary Microsystems Group
University Of Florida Jan 2006 - Aug 2008
    Gainesville, Florida, Us
Designed, built, and characterized a modular sensor package for a low-cost electret microphone to be used in aeroacoustic array measurements.Collaborated with graduate and undergraduate students to construct and install a large aperature (6 ft.) aeroacoustic microphone array in the UF Anechoic Flow Facility (UFAFF), an open jet wind tunnel in an anechoic environment.Constructed LabVIEW and MATLAB codes for various processes to control wind tunnel facility, acquire acoustic and aerodynamic data and data analysis.
  • University Of Florida
Undergraduate Research Assistant, Structural And Multidisciplinary Optimization Group
University Of Florida Jan 2007 - Jan 2008
    Gainesville, Florida, Us
Developed computationally-efficient Monte Carlo simulations MATLAB codes to numerically verify theoretical failure analysis of mechanical structures using the Separable Monte Carlo technique. Co-authored conference paper outlining this research.
  • Audio Visual Services
    Events Manager
Audio Visual Services Sep 2004 - May 2007
Coordinated and consulted with event organizers and outside vendors to provide audio and visual support for an average of 600 events annually at 10+ venues on the University of Florida campus.Managed company resources to optimize the use of available A/V equipment and personnel for multiple overlapping events.Advised new employees on proper and safe procedure for using A/V equipment and facilities, communicating with fellow employees and customers, and effective time and resource management.Performed in-house equipment maintenance, troubleshooting and repair in order to maintain equipment inventory on a limited budget.Interviewed and recommended hirees and promotions to non-student company managers.
