I am the product of two entrepreneurial parents who started a family business shortly before I was born. My DNA pushes me to be a problem solver and to find efficiencies. I excel when I am part of a team. I increased press response time by 80% during my first year at the Society for the Promotion of Japanese Animation. Most recently I restructured De Mott Drapery & Design, Inc. through the introduction of operations to increase efficiency, resulting in a 200% increase in productivity. I also drafted a 5 year sales plan for De Mott Drapery & Design, resulting in a 25% sales increase in the first year. Ultimately I see puzzles; problems that always have a solution. I look for creativity in everything I do, which comes through in my working relationships. A former colleague stated about me, “Outside of his talent, Dylan has also been a great joy to work with. He is an amazing team player, is always positive, and he has worked extremely well with all the employees here.”My leadership roles are varied, yet all share a sense of purpose and belonging. I served as Graduate Student Body President at Loyola Marymount University, the first time an MBA student has ever had this role. I coached an NCAA Women’s Rowing team, and spent 13 years volunteering at the American Cancer Society. I have a strong sense of the collective good and love opportunities within cultures that realize we are all part of something larger. I will always look for a way to make others smile. I enjoy finding that one interesting or different quality about someone. Unique aspects are what make people enjoyable. I am motivated by the big-picture perspective and the continual, ever-locking puzzle pieces.
