I am intrigued by careers in engineering because of constant advances in engineering technology and tools. Working as an engineer provides a great sense of value because what I do every day directly impacts and improves the lives of the world's population. I am able to offer new views and work well with the existing views and aspirations of a company and be a great team player and drive continuous improvement. In addition to being a team player, I am also able to use my past experiences in manufacturing, oil & gas and the power generation industries to help maintain a safe work environment, meeting the highest safety and environmental standards. Throughout my past roles, I have worked on and led cross functional teams through complex engineering projects. These projects span from the early stages of concept and scope development all the way through to full production. This includes planning , budgeting, driving design reviews, prototyping, testing, commissioning, and failure analysis with corrective action until a desirable end result is achieved. Throughout all of my roles I have succeeded in improving design and business processes to better serve customers and drive a better end result to every project.

King Plant.-Redesigned layout of the plant oil room and created new procedures for oil filtration and use, to align day to day operations with Xcel Energy's operating model. -Filled the project engineer and project lead roles on a deaerator repair project to fix deaerator equalizer and support pipes that were found to have significant FAC and flashing damage. -Designed stainless steel equalizer pipe liners to ensure the deaerator vessel would meet ASME Section VIII design code and prevent future FAC that was found on the existing carbon steel equalizer pipes, ensuring many years of safe operation with reduced maintenance.

Worked as a project engineer to help plan and coordinate capital projects during plant overhauls and normal plant operation.-Planned and oversaw the construction of an expansion joint replacement project which consisted of four expansion joints, two located on the economizer outlet of a coal fired steam generator and two located on the plant's discharge stack.-Re-designed the inside flow liner of the economizer outlet expansion joint due to significant thermal warp caused by high excursion temperatures. Re-Design eliminated 100% of repeat maintenance during subsequent overhauls.-Designed and provided construction and operation oversight for an effluent disposal system to remove 600 gpm of hydrolazing effluent from the power plant.-Provided engineering support for major boiler refractory, pin studding and flat studding replacement in the cyclones of a B&W super-critical steam generator.-Provided engineering and project management support for a high pressure feed water heater replacement and oversaw the installation of all ASME B31.1 coded piping, verifying all piping installed meets or exceeds the design requirements.
