QUT Young Alumni Chapter provide opportunities for alumni and students to connect and learn. Focusing on young professionals we continue the development of our members through personal, professional and social opportunities.Including all QUT Alumni, we provide knowledge, tools and confidence for the real world for professionals from the real world.With around 25,000 Alumni and 10,000 Students in the potential membership pool, the Young Alumni Chapter is one of the largest Chapters of QUT.In my role as President, I work closely with the Alumni Office to direct the administration of the chapter and have primary responsibility for the development and implementation of the chapter goals and objectives. I work closely with all of the committee members and represent the committee at events.

Woolworths National Store Construction is an in house construction management team responsible for the fit out and refurbishment of Woolworths, BWS and Dan Murphy's stores. Our projects range from basic fit outs to complicated new builds and extensions.The projects I managed at Woolworths included a number of concept rollout projects, new store fit outs and the redevelopment of a number of standalone centres.

The Certification Professionals ­ AMoreton Bay Regional Council BusinessThe Certification Professionals were a Building Certification company owned by Moreton BayRegional Council. The Certification Professionals offered a complete consultancy service in alltypes of building projects throughout Queensland. I started with TCP through my universityin a Cadet Role followed by my Technical Officer Role. Both roles were based around theassessment of residential and commercial developments. This role was instrumental inbuilding my knowledge of building codes and some town planning requirements of councilsthroughout Queensland.Some key tasks in my role with The Certification Professionals: Building Regulations, Building Codes and Australian Standards Assessments; Town Planning Assessments; & Building Reports and Recommendations;

The project I was involved in with Knowleswas the construction of the North Lakes Retirement Resort. The first project in Queenslandvalued at around $45million. I started with Knowles as a Cadet Contracts Administrator andProgressed to a Contracts Administrator.
