Current● Manages Windows servers in multiple domains within the Department of Corrections (DOC) network environment. Monitors server performance using VMware vSphere and PowerShell command-line tools. Provides weekly status reports to supervisor and maintains 99.9% or better server uptime.● Manages existing data protection solution for the Incarcerated Individual Services at Correctional Industries Headquarters. Monitors Network Attached Storage (NAS) performance and Backup Exec event logs weekly, successfully ensuring 100% data protection for the Great Plains database, domain controllers, and file servers. Assists incarcerated individuals and DOC staff by locating and restoring accidentally deleted files and folders.● Creates and manages Active Directory user accounts for DOC staff. Creates and manages Great Plains user accounts for incarcerated individuals and assigns role-based user permissions. Works closely with DOC supervisors to identify and disable inactive user accounts.● Designs and creates PowerShell functions and scripts to perform assigned tasks more quickly and efficiently.● Acquires, evaluates, and installs new applications for end users. Creates technical documentation on software installation procedures and ensures vendor contact information is updated regularly.● Images, configures, and sets up Windows desktops and laptops for end users. Proactively works with supervisors and asset management to ensure new employees receive their computer equipment on time. Assists new employees during the onboarding process by assigning folder permissions, configuring logon scripts, and installing network printers.● Quickly diagnoses and resolves operating system, application, and hardware issues for DOC staff and incarcerated individuals by researching, troubleshooting, and using problem solving skills. Assists customers in-person and remotely, successfully resolving their problems in a timely manner.
