I perform technical work in system design, installation, maintenance, and repair of state-of-the-art theatrical audio, lighting, rigging and projection systems required to meet client’s needs for stage productions, cinema events and other activities at the Orpheum Theater, Symphony Hall, and the Phoenix Convention Center. I also work with outside production mangers to advance technical requirements for event productions; integrating touring company equipment with in-house systems; provide event cost estimates for event labor and rental equipment. I am in charge of the scheduling of crew and also provide functional supervision over stagehands and security during shows and events.

Professional, audio, and video design and installation.

Theater technicians assist in the set-up, operation and strike of sound systems, stage lighting, audio/visual and theatrical equipment necessary for specific events. Serve as stagehands, run-crew and other backstage operations as needed.

As the ships Audio Technician i was responsible for the safe and proper operation of all the audio systems in the main theater for all shows and activities I was also responsible for the cleaning, maintenance and ensuring the proper functioning of all audio systems in all the various venues around the ship. Some more of my responsibilities as the ship lead Audio Technician included, Assist with additional multiple show setups, rehearsals and tech runs during cast change. Be part of the “Tech On Duty (TOD)” rotation providing both guests and crew with entertainment technology related assistance.Ensure proper and thorough training on all job‐related aspects to the incoming replacement technician during the handover period.Ensure immediate communication with all immediate supervisors to report any fault or malfunction that could affect everyone’s safety.Be familiar with video wall and moving head lighting equipment setup and operation, to be able to take on the “Tech On Duty” responsibility.Fill out the Audio Technical Reports detailing any new or outstanding problem pertaining to the audio systems around the ship and submit them to supervisors. Operate the main theater audio equipment for all shows and activities. ( Yamaha PM5D, M7CL, CL5 equipped with waves audio card using sound grid.) Assist the Light Tech with loading and unloading pyro before/after shows (proper training and certification was provided on board). Perform show load‐ins and load‐outs (together with the Floor, Automation & Light Technicians) for each show.Responsible for the maintenance and upkeep of all Entertainment Technical audio systems in the main theater and all other audio systems around the ship, perform troubleshooting and equipment/speaker replacement as needed. I also help with the big Carnival live charter cruise with nationally know artist like snoop dog, earth wind and fire, lil kim, just to name a few.
