My name is Dylan Edmonson and I am a current student at Samford University. I am a senior majoring in Marketing with a concentration in Professional Sales. After graduation, I would like to get into the business of sales as I enjoy helping others and bringing customers the best service. For the past 6 years, I have worked for our family business, Poptown Popsicles. I have had the experience of making a product and working a nine-to-five shift four days a week. I have also had one-on-one experience selling and delivering our product to many new customers and maintaining positive relationships with our current customers. One of my biggest achievements while working for our family business was that I was able to bring in 20 new accounts/customers. For the past 4 years, I have run my own business, Snowie Brothers. I invested in a snow cone truck and started my own business. I have kept up with every aspect of the business including the accounting, inventory, sales, production, scheduling, and so much more. Having my own business has helped me mature and become an efficient worker. Lastly, I have had the pleasure of interning at Simply Sod for my last semester of college. Simply Sod is a sod brokerage firm that provides many different varieties of sod to homeowners, home builders and landscapers throughout the Southeast. During this intern experience, I have learned how to superbly speak with customers/truck drivers on the phone, negotiate and quote rates with inquiring customers, input customer and truck transportation data, and so much more.
