I conduct two 45-minute tutorials per week for a first-year undergraduate law course (LAWS1011) which covers a broad range of introductory topics intended to lay a foundation for BA/BCom Law and LLB students at Wits University. This module is a full-year course and tutorials are conducted in person.Responsibilities include:• guiding group discussions;• assisting students with revision of fundamental legal concepts covered in lectures; and• working with tutors and lecturers to prepare activities for students and to set memoranda for tutorial questions.

I founded Daisy Foundation, a registered nonprofit company which supports animal shelters and rescue organisations in South Africa. Since launching the Foundation, I’ve worked to launch fundraising initiatives and brainstorm ideas to expand outreach to potential donors and stakeholders in the animal welfare sector.I’ve worked on all of the Foundation’s main projects since its launch, including:• e-Commerce projects: Building, launching and maintaining a Shopify store to process donations; Creating a unified brand image across all social platforms and email• Drafting and managing a Change.org petition calling for restrictions on the discharge of fireworks that could adversely impact animals and vulnerable populations, garnering over 17,000 signatures and a response from a member of the Johannesburg City Council • Facilitating the donation of goods and financial support to 16 animal welfare organisations in 2019• Developing and implementing a year-end fundraising plan to support 12 animal shelters in Q4 2020• Responding to queries from stakeholders and participating in media engagements on behalf of the Foundation (e.g. interviews on radio and in animal-related publications)
