Primary responsibilities are running the client implementation function and overseeing ongoing client relationships. At Maia we are constantly trying to improve and streamline the operational side of the business to ensure the most efficient and effective delivery of our software to our clients.

I lead new client implementations and oversee ongoing client relationships. Utilising a background as a senior developer within Maia, Fulcrum and Barclays and with a catalogue of successful client implementations, Dylan ensures new implementations are carried out smoothly with any technical requirements being delivered to the highest standard.

Maia is a FinTech business spun out from Fulcrum Asset Management and offers Multi-Asset Portfolio Management solutions (PMS). Over a number of years I was part of the core team developing the suite of PMS functionality including Order Management, Investment Book of Records, Market Data, Post Trade, Direct Market Access, and many others. I continue to develop key functionality within our product offering, in addition to leading new client integrations.

A software developer working on Fulcrum's full stack propriety trading and portfolio management platform. Developing server side and GUI applications primarily in Java, and incorporating FIX protocol and SQL database work. Types of projects undertaken include implementing systematic trading strategies, building order management and algo applications, building market data aggregators, and establishing FIX connections to brokers. I was part of the core team bringing the Fulcrum Portfolio Management Stack to a commercial grade, and solely lead the implementation of our application at two further large asset managers. This role then migrated to the spun out entity Maia.

A software developer role working on equities electronic trading and client connectivity applications, including Barclay’s dark pool exchange, and FIX protocol software. My work involved using C#, Java, Python, Perl and SQL languages. Fully Agile working methodologies used. I also gained extensive knowledge of the equities market structure, and received extensive training on financial assets and markets.

I developed software relating to futures clearing and settlement. The primary languages were C# and SQL. This role also incorporated extensive business analyst tasks, and had to liaise with the front office teams to assess project scope and priority. I also instigated Agile working methodologies in the team as an improvement over their existing project management style.

I completed a summer internship in the technology division at Barclays bank. Throughout my internship I was given extensive training in a broad range of subjects, focussing mainly on financial concepts and project management. On top of this I was tasked with helping the web development team to update the Barclays Stockbroking website, and to create a programme that analysed SharePoint data. The work was largely computer programming which helped me improve my self-taught skills, but also exposed me to the internal workings of a large and global corporation.
