While at PK, I led and developed all aspects of the organization’s privacy advocacy as the subject matter expert on privacy issues and managed the organization’s internal privacy team. I advocated for PK's organizational privacy priorities with representatives from broad cross-section of external stakeholders, including federal and state lawmakers, privacy and cybersecurity firms, trade associations, academics, and civil society. I also coordinated advocacy strategy related to the development of comprehensive federal privacy legislation within our coalition of privacy and digital rights groups. During my tenure at PK, I worked on copyright and communications law issues as well.

I clerked with the Office of Policy Analysis and Development at NTIA during my last semester of law school. The internship was my first experience taking a deep dive into copyright policy. I assisted the OPAD team on projects related to the Copyright Office's policy studies and various court cases with important intellectual property policy implications. I also contributed research and writing projects on topics ranging from spectrum policy to the nation's unbanked and underbanked population.

During my 2L summer, I clerked in the Competition and Infrastructure Policy Division of the FCC's Wireless Bureau. It was an exciting time to be at the Commission, and I was fortunate enough to lend a hand on a number of important projects related to the Nineteenth Competition Report, mobile device security, VoLTE deployment and 5G trials, and DAS/small cell antenna siting.

Working at America's Public Television Stations in the first semester of my 2L year was a valuable introduction to regulatory law and the legal issues affecting the Federal Communications Commission, national broadcasters, and wireless providers. My duties at APTS primarily involved writing communications to the board of directors and member stations regarding developments in the Broadcast Incentive Auction. I also drafted various legal documents including a carriage agreement and ex parte comments to the FCC.

I spent my 1L summer as the Legal Intern at Schneider & Brewer, a small litigation firm in Central Maine. While there, I had the opportunity to work closely with partners and associates on a variety of substantive legal tasks including penning pleadings and motions. I also conducted numerous research projects for the drafting of legal memoranda. The highlight of the summer was being given the task of composing the initial draft of the Appellant’s reply brief for the Maine Supreme Court. My experience there was valuable to me because I was able to observe the entire development of litigation from the initial consultation with the client to the final judgment and appeal.

After spending a few years producing demos for local independent musical artists in Southern California, I began working as a music supervisor in the advertising sector. While working with industry-leading production house, Script to Screen, I oversaw the music production of commercial spots and long-form advertisements for numerous national and international brands such as Nescafé, Sensa, Life Time Fitness, and ESIO. During this time I also composed music for advertisements and short films.

Upon graduating from William and Mary, I spent five years as a private tutor while I was a member of the Orange County Music Award nominated (Best Pop 2007) band, Arrow Up. I tutored mostly English and math to middle and high school students, but I also periodically tutored high school science and SAT/ACT prep. I also co-founded 1809 Academy, a private school that offered customized, college-preparatory educational programs to student/athletes with exceptional extracurricular commitments. Our clients included Olympic-track and professional athletes.
