I oversaw, and lead the installation of many technologies ranging from robotic automation to networks. My daily tasks performed included trouble shooting, quality audits of installs, handling technical documents to ensure customer requirements are met, and training staff. I obtained a collection of certifications for this job that allowed me to execute safe material handling and installation on site.

Internship opportunity with exposure to processes used to produce a product from raw material. Parker-Helac has a wide range of customization for their products. Creating a need for a variety of custom tooling and fixtures, that are designed and made in house. I had the opportunity to design and catalog some of this tooling. I partook in a Kanban workshop that implemented Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma principles. The goal of the workshop was to decrease lead times and increase the capacity of the shop.

My introduction into industrial manufacturing. I worked closely with the head of the Manufacturing Engineering department. I learned about the processes used by Helac to produce a final product from raw material. I used CAD to model the manufacturing shop layout. This model was used as an aid for improving the workflow. Also, I worked with Helacs in-house tooling machinist, and welding trainer to learn the basics of operating a lathe, mill and MIG welder.
