UGA's campus transit system services around 11 million passengers each year. As a bus driver, it was required of me to maintain a schedule, respond to customer needs professionally, and make fast and effective decisions.

Designed programming for 15-20 middle school students in Math, Reading, Bible, Passion Projects, and Field Trips. Encouraged and supported groups of 20+ adult volunteers. Lead, assisted and learned from 8 interns in areas such as conflict resolution/management skills, intern to volunteer interactions, intern and child engagement, and spiritual development. Ensured proper engagement of interns and volunteers with children/teens that promoted positive development based on the most recent research. Oversaw registration process for 80 campers and constructed daily schedules.

Leadership for RUF consists of collaborating with around 20 other individuals to come up with and design the best methods for outreach and events and smooth running of RUF events and large group. RUF is a campus ministry that seeks to connect people with a Christ-loving community and provide them with teaching along the way. As the Outreach Team co-leader, I assisted in designing discussion-based programs that ran every other Saturday to address topics such as abortion, racism, sexism, etc. and how the Bible says these topics should be approached. Rather than there being a "No Trespassing" sign to these topics within the church, we believe the Bible provides a clear foundation towards discussing these areas. Avoidance of these typical hot button issues has prevented the church from truly loving our neighbors well.

At A House on Beekman, my main role was to support the children each summer for five weeks through two passion projects and three core curriculum classes. The support I provided to the children included assisting in conflict resolution skill enhancement, emotional support, and redirection. Each week volunteers come that must be led towards the best way to also support the children. In this, I am required to guide and direct people ages 14-65 in appropriate ways to support the children. Before this I was required to write curriculum that would be used for the summer camp. This included writing curriculum for math for Kindergarten-5th graders, and writing for middle schoolers. A House on Beekman strives to standwith those facing injustice rather than stand for them. Through a hand out instead of a hand up, kinship is formed that allows for meaningful relationships and cycles of injustice to be broken.
