My name is Dylan Hightower, and I'm originally from Russiaville, Indiana. I'm currently a sophomore at Indiana University, majoring in Public Financial Management. As a passionate individual focused on becoming a Financial Advisor, I am committed to building my public financial management and marketing skills to help clients make informed, strategic financial decisions. I am pursuing a Bachelor of Science in Public Affairs with a major in Public Financial Management and a minor in either marketing or accounting from Indiana University. With this, I aim to bring a well-rounded perspective to financial advising that balances financial responsibility with growth opportunities. Throughout my tenure at American Party Time, I gained experience collaborating with various teams to ensure operational efficiency, while improving on-time rental deliveries and enhancing customer satisfaction. This experience sharpened my problem-solving skills as well as my ability to perform under pressure, resolving logistical challenges on up to eight delivery routes per day. My involvement in my high school's chapter of the National Honors Society allowed me to actively contribute to community service, accumulating over 100 hours of volunteer work while maintaining a full course load. This experience taught me the importance of balancing responsibility with the desire to make a meaningful impact on others. Outside of academics, I love playing and watching sports, having fun with friends, pursuing new interests, and expanding my horizons. I'm interested in joining some student-based organizations, and one that is at the top of my list would be either the American Marketing Association or the Scholars of Finance Club at IU. I’m excited to apply my passion for finance, strong work ethic, and ability to communicate complex concepts in a relatable way as I pursue a career as a Financial Advisor.Specialties: Public financial management, customer relations, marketing strategies, problem-solving, team collaboration, operational efficiency, leadership, and client-focused communication.
