Hello! My name is Dylan Hoffard and I am highly interested in beginning a career as a civil engineer. I know it doesn't seem like it considering that currently I am Corporal Hoffard, Non-Commissioned Officer, United States Marine Corps, and I hold a supervisory leadership role within the organization as a lead expeditionary firefighter. I assure you, since having the pleasure of working with the USMC for the last four years, I have gained a wide range of valuable knowledge and skills that can be applied in many aspects. Some of my responsibilities include...- Develop and implement training plans as a lead training supervisor, ensuring that basic firefighters receive the required training. - Licensed driver/ operator for multiple vehicles over 40,000 lbs.- Tacking and ensuring functionality of life safety equipment on a daily basis.- Positively representing my organization in various joint force exercises and awareness events.- Thoroughly review and organize the completion of documents required by the National Fire Protection Agency (NFPA).- Quickly and efficiently gather and distribute emergency data as a Senior Emergency dispatcher. These responsibilities have allowed me to refine my skills in time management, multitasking, project managing, critical thinking, and in my opinion the most important being mission accomplishment. I hope to be able to utilize these skills and more in a career field that I am truly passionate about, structural engineering. I have always been fascinated with structures and how they come to be. My dream is understand and be apart of that process. I am willing to do whatever it take to reach my goals. If you would like to know more about me please do not hesitate to reach out. Thank you for reading, Have a great day!
