Legislative Issue Manager on the Healthcare team at Stateside Associates. Working to identify, analyze, and consult on trends in healthcare legislation across the 50 states. In particular, I focus on legislative developments in Medicare, Medicaid, and workers' compensation.

As a member of the 2020 Census team, I worked to ensure a fair, accurate and thorough count in the northern Virginia area. Through diligent work and quick learning, I worked my way up to serve as Lead Census Field Manager, ultimately managing a team of over 800 field and office staff. I lead our field division through a complex and dynamically changing operation, ultimately succeeding in our constitutional obligation of 100% of households enumerated.I particular, I oversaw and strategically directed progress in all field operations, served as the primary training official in the office, on-boarding and orienting new staff, and supported one of the largest peace-time hiring efforts undertaken by the federal government.

Interning for U.S. Representative Raúl M. Grijalva (D-AZ), I assisted staff in accomplishing legislative and administrative work. From answering phones to coordinating with other Congressional offices on letters and advocacy efforts, I helped ensure the office ran smoothly and could reliably fight for the people of southern Arizona in the House. On a typical day I researched and drafted legislative language, attended and summarized briefings, processing incoming correspondence, and compiled press clips. I continued to build my CRM and database experience, this time through iConstituent and Bloomberg Government, respectively.

As an intern for the Committee I conducted oversight research, helped prepare for hearings, and drafted committee reports. I was the primary staff author for the Committee's 22nd Council Period Activity Report, which required comprehensively compiling the bills, hearings, and recommendations processed through the Committee for the prior two years. The Committee on Labor and Workforce Development, Chaired by Councilmember Elissa Silverman, oversees labor and collective bargaining, employment training, and general workforce development in the District of Columbia.

The Government Accountability Office audits the programs and finances of the federal government to provide Congress and the American people with accurate, fair, and non-partisan information and analysis. As a Student Trainee in the Office of General Counsel I assist GAO attorneys in their audit support work, procurement law decisions, and provide general logistical support.

While at the board I compiled outreach resources, including lists of stakeholders for publications and technical expert panel formation. I also assisted with development and codification of internal guidance documents, including resources for new board members. This included researching and analyzing organizational features and ethical guidance at other independent government agencies to inform our own best practices. In the course of this research I became familiar with the rules regarding Special Government Employees (SGEs,) the excepted service, and the various federal ethics offices. I also actively used CRM and directory software such as Leadership Connect to search out contacts for Board outreach efforts. The Social Security Advisory Board is a bipartisan, independent federal government agency established in 1994 to advise the President, the Congress, and the Commissioner of Social Security on matters of policy and administration of the Old-age, Survivors, and Disability Insurance and the Supplemental Security Income programs.

While interning for Senator Heidi Heitkamp from North Dakota, I researched policy, drafted constituent response letters, answered constituent calls, gave tour of the United States Capitol and assisted with work for the Subcommittee on Regulatory Affairs and Federal Management. Built my understanding of Congressional oversight and reform-oriented legislation.

Ruben Gallego (D-AZ) I drafted responses to constituent inquires and comments, received calls and greeted guests at the front desk, and gathered press clips of recent Local and Congressional news. Built my understanding of how a Congressional office functions and policy issues important to Arizona.

As an Administrative Assistant my responsibilities included answering and directing incoming calls, front desk customer service, assisting with logistics for a ~25 faculty member office, assisting with financial report preparation for the department, and assisting with student record preparation.

As an RHO Assistant at the New South Residence Hall Office I received and distributed packages, issued and kept record of keys, offered customer service and point of contact service for the residents of New South, Village A, and Ryan Hall.
