During my time throughout level 1 biology and chemistry, I developed my skills in biology and chemistry labs, developing both laboratory techniques (for example in the form of serial dilutions as well as titrations) as well as transferable skills that I gained alongside these (such as team building and time management skills) - making connections and learning and sharing new skills between peers.Second year at the University of Glasgow allowed me to hone my skills and specify my interests in biology as a field, taking a range of modules which included: Animal Biology, Evolutionary Studies, Ecology, Microbiology and Immunology. This scholarly year was also when I began learning statistical coding in RStudio, which has been vital in developing my ability in writing up lab reports.My third year has been monumental in gaining field work experience, developing a wide range of both practical and digital skills to progress my course integral abilities.
