Hi, my name is Dylan Beaver, and I am currently a fourth-year student at the Hubbard School of Journalism at the University of Minnesota. I am currently pursuing a degree in Media and Information with a minor in Communication Studies. Throughout my studies, I have spent time mastering how to effectively communicate to large audiences as well as person-to-person. My studies have helped me learn to identify problems and quickly come up with effective solutions. I have also learned how to effectively think critically about media and find the most ethical practices to put to use. My experience as a fulfillment expert at Target has allowed me to develop my time management skills, as well as the ability to quickly master new technologies. This role has also given me experience with teamwork and the chance to be surrounded by others with diverse cultures and points of view. Outside of my time at Target, I was a captain of the speech team in high school for three years, where I was given the chance to learn how to be an effective leader. Additionally, I was a member of the soccer and track teams, where teamwork was a crucial role every day.
