My name is Dylan Curran, and I am an undergraduate Mathematics major at the Georgia Institute of Technology.I have an extreme passion for the beauty of mathematical objects, structures, and patterns. My interests in Pure Mathematics mainly reside in the field of Abstract Algebra, where I have done work in relation to Quivers, Chain Complexes, and Homological Algebra.Beyond Mathematics in its purest form, I am greatly interested in applying Mathematics to the worlds of Finance, Data Science, Risk Management, and Actuarial Science. I have experience with programming projects and have participated in a Data Science and Machine Learning project with/ Data Science Club @ Georgia Tech.In life, I hope to inspire others to appreciate the beauty of Mathematics. My favorite thing about math is when abstract parts of the field end up proving useful in practical settings, if one only chooses to look at things from the correct vantage point. In the work environment, I hope to use my passion for Mathematics to approach problems from angles others may have not yet considered.
