My work in the University Planning & Performance unit ensures that data used throughout UNSW and in government reporting is accurate, timely and interpretable. An integral part of my role is coordinating and subsequently analysing the collection of UNSW Staff data that forms part of the cross institutional UniForum Program. During the coordination phase I have a wide variety of responsibilities including:- Leading the interactions across UNSW, with queries from internal and external stakeholders- Liaising with data owners across the university to enable the seamless and timely collection of data- Providing individualised training sessions to ensure the quality of respondents data- Using a variety of tools including SAS EG, PySpark on Azure Databricks and Excel to manipulate and join the provided data into a useable summaryI use my technical expertise and business acumen to answer questions such as:- How efficient is our resourcing in comparison to similar Universities?- What is the expected student load across the various funding groups?- How has COVID-19 affected enrolments, including students taking leave?- How can we target financial assistance to ensure it is available to those who need it most?- How do we optimise university offers to ensure total load across the university falls within the Commonwealth Grant Scheme funding cap?In addition to my involvement in coordinating the UniForum Program and answering ad-hoc business questions, I also:- Led the transition of multiple projects into UNSW new Microsoft Azure environment - Ensure strong compliance with relevant data policies through use of Data Sharing Agreements- Mentor junior staff members- Provide feedback on external stakeholder applications and user interfaces

I effectively manage my time to work across two tight-knit teams within Quantium’s Retail and Property streams.
