(NICU Level 2c, 12 bed) - 432 hours-Provide comprehensive care to neonates aged ≥ 30 weeks’ gestation with various medical complexities-Perform focused head-to-toe assessments of neonates, review new patient orders, prioritize care according to patient/family needs-Manage fluids and medication administration via IV/UVC/UAC/NGT-Attend deliveries and resuscitation of newborn infants and neonates-Provide support, comfort and education to families, building trusting relationships by fostering communication

-Developed relationships with school aged children while planning and conducting health promotion projects-Provided health education, screening, and counselling for elementary school students-Assessed priority needs of the community through collaboration between parents, teachers, community agencies, and stakeholders

(post-NICU rehabilitation care, 1:2 nurse/pt. ratio) – 144 hours-Refined critical thinking skills by assessing/caring for infants 3-12 months with complex medical needs-Managed care for infants requiring mechanical ventilation and performed nursing interventions such as suctioning, ambu bag ventilation, and tracheostomy changes-Calculated and administered medications via G/GJ tubes, nebulizer, and intramuscular injections

-Managing all physical health needs for a camp of 256 youth (aged 13-16)-Organizing the medical portion of the foundation's back-country wilderness trips-Assisting camp Social Workers/Child & Youth Workers to support youth struggling with mental health related issues

-Conducted a textual analysis of nursing literature to evaluate the inclusion of Grand Nursing Theories in practice-based nursing research-Managed the entire textual analysis/data collection portion of the project; included analyzing 500+ articles from 19 research-based journals and tracking information on excel

-Supported youth development (aged 12-17) through leadership program facilitation-Led multi-day wilderness expeditions for groups of 8 campers-Challenged mentally and physically working in a camp setting for sessions of 10 days

-144 hours-Provided nursing care for antepartum, postpartum and gyne surgery clients-Advanced skills in family-centered care, infant physical exams, and fetal monitoring-Provide health teachings to families including breastfeeding, vaccinations, bathing, cord care etc.-Received “The Donna Maguire RN BScN CON C Memorial Award” for demonstrated clinical excellence
